From the very first time I met Lisa and Dan, and conversations ranged from Taylor Swift to which Big Shiny Tunes compilation is better, I knew that their wedding was going to be a blast. And it was.

These guys have a great sense of humour, and epic tastes in both music and beer (I mean,  you just can't go wrong with the Yellowhead Brewery), and their wedding was fun, laid back, and full of sweet little personal touches. I truly enjoyed getting to know them before the wedding, and being a part of such an awesome wedding.

Also, I want to give a shout out to their marriage commissioner, Pat Steffes, who was a delight to work alongside. If you're looking for someone fun and relaxed, yet very organized and professional, I definitely recommend him!

Read on for some of Lisa and Dan's wedding music selections, some awesome photos from Diamond Cake Photography, and what the couple had to say about working with me. Enjoy!

Ceremony Music:

Processional -  Old Pine - Ben Howard

Bride + Groom's Entrance - Simple Song - The Shins

Signing of the Register: Foo Fighters - Everlong (Acoustic)

Recessional - I Believe in a Thing Called Love - The Darkness

Because the ceremony was in the same venue as the reception, the ceremony flowed right into cocktails. With it being a Friday night, and a somewhat informal wedding, the cocktail music was upbeat and fun, with the alternative rock and quintessential 90s tunes that the bride and groom had requested. This included:

- Lifehouse
- Gin Blossoms
- Counting Crows
- Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars
- Third Eye Blind
- Matchbox Twenty
- Better Than Ezra
- Oasis
- Goo Goo Dolls
- Deep Blue Something
- Barenaked Ladies - Lovers In A Dangerous Time
- Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
- Foo Fighters
- Hawksley Workman
- Death Cab For Cutie
- The Shins
- Arctic Monkeys

Then, it was time for the dance, as well as board games, which they had set up in the Tasting Room in the front of the Brewery.

First Dance - The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize??

Here's what Lisa and Dan had to say about their wedding music:

"Wow! Stacey did a great job DJing our wedding. We had considered doing the music on our own but with everything else to do, it probably would have been a disaster. So when we found PopJukebox we decided to check it out, and we couldn’t have been happier with the entire process.

Stacey worked with us to get to know our musical tastes, theme, and intended audience for the wedding. She made us feel comfortable, helped us pick out our processional music (since we had NO idea) and didn’t laugh at Dan’s request for boy-band music. On our wedding day her set-up was small (i.e. not in the way at a smaller venue) but powerful.

But the best part of everything is that EVERYONE danced! That’s a hard accomplishment, but she was able to gauge the mood and adjust the music as needed. She made sure there was something for everyone and kept the party going. Our wedding was amazing, everyone had a great time and we know Stacey was a big part of this.

We would highly recommend her if you are looking for a non-cheesy, stress-free (as much as possible for a wedding!) booty shakin’ good time."
