Feel Good Music – Volume Four – Featuring Valerie of The Wheelbarrow Gardener & Florist
Valerie Loseth is the owner of The Wheelbarrow Gardener / Florist design studio in St. Albert. Growing up in the Rocky Mountains, with both parents avid gardeners of both flowers and vegetables, it's easy to see how these influences have guided her to where she is today, even though it may have taken some time and a few detours to finally get there!
The Wheelbarrow Gardener was born in 2014, and started as a small, home-based garden project design and consultation company. During the off-season, Val built her skillset by working for a few local floral designers, educating herself with some flower design and small business courses and doing freelance floral work. In the fall of 2016, Val combined her two passions - gardening and floral design - into one dynamic company with a brick and mortar location in St. Albert, Alberta.I absolutely love Val's mission for The Wheelbarrow Gardener. Here it is in her own words...
“I believe in the importance of having beautiful things incorporated into our lives - for a day - for a week - for a season - or for a lifetime. I’m passionate about designing wedding, event florals and garden spaces that are full of unique and creative details and whenever possible collaborating with other passionate artists to provide opportunities to deliver beauty to the people and world around us.”
In today’s show, Val shares her ‘feel good’ music, as well as her story of chasing her creative dream, even though much of her life was spent on a completely different career path.
