You Are The Best Thing - Fraser + Anita's Cozy Fall Wedding

With plenty of friends flying in from Ontario to celebrate, Fraser and Anita's wedding at Packrat Louie in Old Strathcona was an intimate and cozy fall wedding with a killer dance party. With the restaurant wedding venue decked out in wintry decor (including the perfect plaid table runners), friends and family enjoyed an incredible meal and extremely heartfelt toasts.

Fraser and Anita have awesome taste in music, and wanted to set the mood with folky, romantic tunes - the perfect fit for the inviting atmosphere at Packrat Louie. Some of the artists that we enjoyed during cocktails and dinner included...

They even kicked off the dance with one of my favourite folky love songs - their first dance was "You Are The Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne.

One of the best things about friends and family travelling to celebrate with you is that no one is worried about what they have to do the next day - their whole reason for being in town is to celebrate with you! Weddings with a big portion of the guests from out of town usually result in awesome dance parties, since no one hesitates to stay until the end of the night. Why head back to the hotel when you can party with friends you haven't had a chance to see in months?!

Fraser and Anita's wedding was a perfect example of this, and their friends were so committed to the dance floor... it was awesome. This video is one of my favourite moments from their wedding dance floor. The utter commitment their friends have to singing along and celebrating Fraser and Anita always makes me smile!
