A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of providing music for Creative Edmonton's Heroes vs. Villains market event. Chan Rin, also of Vivid Ribbon, is the director of photography for Creative Edmonton, and got some great shots from the event that I just had to share with you. Here are some highlights of the event!

Part of the entertainment for the night included some super talented young hip-hop and contemporary dancers. My favourite dance crew was the first performance – some amazing kids with tons of energy and crazy dance skills:

My set for the night included a pretty good mix of music, but the key was high-energy music that set a very fun atmosphere in the venue. The night started off with a bit of soul, swing and rockabilly, then as we got into hip-hop performances and a packed venue, I kicked it up a notch with more pop and upbeat hip-hop. Towards the end of the night there weren’t a ton of people left, so for the last portion of the the night, I took it back to a bit of fun 80s stuff like Blondie, Queen, Billy Idol and Depeche Mode.

Again, thanks so much to Vivid Ribbon for these photos, and to Creative Edmonton for having me a part of such a sweet, community-focused event!

If you need a DJ for a corporate or community event in Vancouver, get in touch! I would love to create a soundtrack that takes your event to the next level.
