Dianne + Matt's Cozy Winter Wedding

On an extremely chilly winter day, Dianne and Matt tied the knot, warmed by the love and support of their family and friends. Blue Meadows was transformed with some seriously epic floral design by FaBLOOMosity, and Dianne and Matt's taste in music was a perfect complement to the beautiful day that they'd planned.

An awesome wedding like theirs is always dependent on the hard work of a team of wedding professionals. At Dianne and Matt's wedding, I had the pleasure of working alongside:

Photographer: Jill Coursen Photography
Venue: Blue Meadows
Day-of Coordinator: Ashley Perra Events
Flowers: FaBLOOMosity
Ceremony Arch: Stagecoach Design & Event Rentals

The day started with a hella romantic wedding ceremony, and the music they chose couldn't have been more perfect...

Ceremony Music:
Parents, Groom + Groomsmen Entrance: Into The Mystic - Van Morrison
Bridesmaids Entrance: Diamond In a Coal Mine - Holley Maher
Bride's Entrance: I Get To Love You - Ruelle
Signing of the Register: Can't Help Falling In Love - Haley Reinhart
Recessional: Real Love - Clean Bandit (Custom edit by PopJukebox)

With a quick flip of the space, Blue Meadows was ready for their reception, which was kicked off by a grand entrance set to "Five More Hours" by Deorro & Chris Brown. Instead of simply heading to their seats as they entered, Dianne, Matt and their bridal party all headed to the bar for a shot before taking their places at the head table. It's safe to say you're going to have a good party after a kick-off like that!

One of my favourite little surprises that Dianne and Matt organized for their guests was the release of paper lanterns. Even though it was around -30C, every single guest headed outside to release a lantern - it was so beautiful!

Before getting the dance party started, Dianne and Matt cut the cake to "At Last" by Leftover Cuties, and Matt's mom gave probably the most hilarious toast I've ever heard from a parent before - she seriously had the whole room in stitches. Then, the dance was kicked off by a first dance, and dances with the parents. Here are the song selections:

First Dance: Heart's On Fire - Passenger
Father Daughter Dance: Father and Daughter - Paul Simon
Mother Son Dance: Started off with Simple Man - Lynryd Skynyrd, then after 30 seconds, we faded into Mama Tried - Merle Haggard... a fitting song to follow the speech Matt's mom gave!

After the dance had been underway for about an hour, we did a bouquet and garter toss. In their circle of friends, there's a tradition of making the guy who caught the garter having to do a lap dance for the gal who caught the bouquet... I was a little unsure of how it would play out, since I usually don't even make them do a shared dance! However, everyone involved was a great sport, and it turned out to be a hilarious part of the evening. Here are the songs that were chosen:

Bouquet Toss: Applause - Lady Gaga
Garter Toss: My House - Flo Rida
Lap Dance: Too Close - Next

Dianne and Matt's dance party was a great time - even with the freezing weather and bad conditions, the dance party carried on until almost 2am.

Here's what Dianne had to say about working with PopJukebox:

"Stacey is fantastic. She is very personable, quick to reply, cares about you as a client and making sure your event is everything you dreamt of. We hired Stacey for our wedding and she was unreal, everyone raved about the music and the dance floor was never empty. Highly recommend."
