PopJukebox will be at the 2015 Homeward WalkRun!
On June 13, 2015, Homeward Trust is hosting a WalkRun to raise funds to fight homelessness in Edmonton. I'm very excited to let you know that I'll be providing music at this event! If you haven't heard of Homeward Trust before, they are a not for profit organization that 'uses a community-based approach toward the goal of ending homelessness in Edmonton.' They actively create housing, and support different agencies in Edmonton, working together to see poverty eliminated in river city. One of their initiatives, Find, is near my house, and a favourite place to go thrifting.
Last year this fundraiser brought in $50,000, which went to NOVA, a program facilitated by the Edmonton John Howard Society that supports Edmonton's homeless youth. Join me at the Homeward WalkRun - whether you're walking, running, volunteering, or stopping by to cheer others on, I'd love to see you there!
Event Information:
Date: Saturday, June 13, 2015
Time: Registration at 9am, race begins at 10am
Details: The Homeward WalkRun includes an 8km run, a 5km WalkRun and a 1km kids Fun Run. There will be post-race cool down, yoga and entertainment. Most importantly, all funds raised by the WalkRun will go towards ending homelessness in Edmonton.
